We have additional field inventory experts on tap for large jobs and tight schedules.
Jim has been a geographic location enthusiast since the early 1990's. While still employed as an electronics engineer with Hewlett-Packard, Jim became immersed with the then fledgling citizen based GPS technology. He mapped outdoor adventures with crude but interesting GPS devices and very basic cartographic software.
Jim steered his engineering career from HP into AMD, then Intel Corp. while simultaneously preparing for "out of cubicle" life by obtaining GIS certification from Front Range Community College. In 2016, he joined Great Outdoors Consultants, LLC and began his inventory & cartographic work in earnest.
Since then, Jim has completed many inventory projects across the western US as a subcontractor with Logan Simpson, GOC, and as an independent contributor. He's completed recreational cartographic work for Chaffee County, CO, Carbon County, WY, the USFS at Rampart Range, and for a number of recreation activities (examples in the Services section).
